We are a top rated adult ACTIVE 55 + RESORT, gated campground/resort community in the beautiful southern town of Chiefland in Central Florida. Chiefland is often referred to as the Gateway to the Nature Coast. Also known as “The Gem of the Suwannee Valley” it is considered by many to be the best place to visit or live in Florida.
Southern Leisure RV Resort is a “Brand New” Under Construction Florida RV development, located on 87 acres within walking distance of the Walmart Supercenter in the beautiful, southern town of Chiefland, Florida. Southern Leisure will be an adult RV Community and is being constructed in three phases.
Phase 1 will have 218 sites and will open on January 1, 2019. When Phase 2 and 3 are completed, we plan to have approximately 500 upscale RV sites.
There will be both pull-thru and back in sites. The pull-thru sites will be 40’ wide by 100’ deep and the back in sites will be 40’ wide by 70’ deep.
All sites will have concrete slabs, be fully groomed and beautifully landscaped, and have a minimum of 100 amp electrical service, city water and sewer, and WiFi.
Southern Leisure Resort will welcome Class A’s, B’s, C’s, 5th wheels and Travel Trailers. Your unit must be 24′ or longer and 10 years or newer. Photos of older units may be submitted for consideration by the resort management.
The huge 10,000 square foot clubhouse will have state of the art acoustics, a stage for entertainment and jam-packed activities program with organized activities and social events. You will be able to sit on the clubhouse porch and enjoy the beautiful view of the park or just relax.
Phase 1 will include the clubhouse, pool, bath house, laundry facilities, office, and post office. We will also be adding comfort stations, dog grooming, salon, library, fitness center with commercial equipment, card room, sewing and quilting room, billiards room and more. The out-door recreation area that will also be added will include a large picnic pavilion with a kitchen for barbequing, grilling, dining, entertaining and lots of out-door fun. The 40′ by 60′ olympic size heated swimming pool will have an area for water aerobics.
Out-door activities include Pickle ball, Bocce Ball, Shuffleboard, Horseshoes, water aerobics, walking and jogging trails. Gather around the fire pit and socialize with your fellow neighbors.
