If you want old Florida before the Disney rat empire, this is it.  Cedar Key is wonderfully undeveloped. No McDonalds or Walgreens or even a chain grocery store. Want to buy something? Go to a local market or restaurant owned by someone who lives there. Need a Walmart? 60 miles round trip. Plenty of music and drinking in Dock St or the Tiki bar at the Low Key Hideaway (LKH).
