Your Florida State Parks Annual Pass–Cheaper Than a Gym Membership!
Florida’s State Parks are some of the best in the country, and our Natural North Florida region boasts some of the finest. This year, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the State Parks have begun a new initiative “Get Florida Park Fit”.
While there are several ways to take advantage of the Park Fit program, such as events like yoga and cycling planned at certain parks, the best way to take advantage of the program is to buy a yearly pass ($60 individual or $125 family) and visit one or many of our parks. As people become more aware of the benefits of exercise and reconnecting to the outdoors for healthy living, they are exploring alternatives to traditional gyms. Florida’s state parks and trails provide a wonderful opportunity for individuals and groups to find their path to fitness. Passes are available online or at larger (staffed) parks.
