Lunch, Dinner and Country Atmosphere at Levy County’s 19/98 Grill & Country Store
When you’re traveling on US19 headed north from Inglis and the Withlacoochee River, in the lower stretches of our Natural North Florida region, you’re also traveling on US98. The road has both names until they split at Perry, in Taylor County, with US19 heading towards Monticello (in Jefferson County) and US98 heading west towards Wakulla County. No matter which road you call it, there are several good places to stop for lunch or dinner, and the 19/98 Grill is one of those spots.
My experience is that almost any restaurant owned by a guy named Tony, Gus or Vito is bound to serve tasty food. And the 19/98 Grill is owned by and the food is cooked by a guy named Vito! He opened the place a few years back, and has continued to serve great food ever since. Not only is the food excellent, with burgers, subs, sandwiches, panini, as well as dinner specials all on the extensive menu, but the service is friendly and attentive. You can even get an old-fashioned Nehi soda or an ice cream float!
