Gainesville’s Swamp Head Brewery–Take A Tour and A Taste
Microbreweries are popping up all over Florida. Most make great craft beer and some are larger and more elaborate than others. If you want to experience one of the best, head over to Swamp Head Brewery in Gainesville. Swamp Head opened in 2008 and eventually grew out of its original location and moved to the current modern building west of downtown at 3650 SW 42nd Avenue. $5 brewery tours are offered throughout the week, giving beer-lovers a look at the process of brewing fine beer.
Swamp Head’s Wetlands Tasting Room has become a gathering spot for beer lovers, many timing their visits to coincide with their favorite food truck. Trucks bearing food from Cilantro Taco, Pop’s Brick Oven Pizza, Burrito Brothers and Mayflower Cellars can often be found parked just outside the brewery. Click here to see a Food Truck Schedule
