2016 Cedar Key Seafood Festival, October 15 and 16
The town of Cedar Key, located in western Levy County, juts into the Gulf of Mexico and has been a long-standing source of excellent seafood. And, since the 1990’s, it’s been the epicenter of commercial clam aquaculture, recognized nation-wide. This year, Hurricane Hermine pushed as much as 9 feet of storm surge water onto shore, flooding homes and businesses. but the resilient community has recovered, and the 2016 Seafood Festival promises to be one of the best–EVER!

“Back strong from the Sept 1 hurricane Hermine, Cedar Key’s community spirit shines with the 47th annual Seafood Festival, organized by the Lions Club and the Lioness, presenting over 200 arts and crafts booths, the popular Seafood Festival Parade, music and fresh seafood by local community groups as well as continuing music and dining throughout the restaurants in town. Oct. 15 & 16, 2016″
